In solving any complex problem, whether academic or industrial, the first step is to clearly define all specifications and make some simplifying assumptions. What assumptions do we make, and how do we know we are not masking some important parameters? It is critical to review some of our assumptions once we arrive at some results and evaluate whether further refinements are necessary. |
